From Concept to Recognition: Arbour Crowned Best BTR Development 2025

Wednesday night marked a proud moment for everyone involved in the story of Arbour by Pension Insurance Corporation plc, as the development was awarded Best BTR Development at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2025.

For our studio, this recognition holds particular significance. We were entrusted with delivering the full Interior Design and FF&E for Arbour, from the earliest conceptual mood boards to the final pieces that now shape the building’s distinctive character. To see this project not only lived in, but celebrated at a national level, is deeply rewarding.

The judges commended Arbour for its response to local housing needs, particularly for key workers, and for its innovative amenity offering, resident-centred experience, and strong sustainability credentials. These values were integral to our design approach: creating interiors that are refined, purposeful, and genuinely supportive of everyday life.

Arbour was envisioned as more than a residential building, it was designed as a community. Warmth, tactility, durability, and comfort guided every specification.

FF&E choices balance softness and sophistication, while layouts were shaped to feel intuitive, uplifting and welcoming. Our aim was simple: to create a best-in-class BTR environment where residents feel grounded and supported by their surroundings.

This award reflects the strength of collaboration across the entire project team, a shared vision realised through architecture, design, and purpose-led thinking.

We are incredibly proud to have played a central role in crafting the interiors of what is now one of the UK’s most celebrated BTR developments.
