Designing with Purpose: Kibre’s First Healing Home with Furnishing Futures

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: spaces should feel like home. Places you want to return to. Environments that make you feel safe, at ease, and free to be yourself.

This philosophy shapes every project we work on, from offices and amenity spaces to back of house areas.

We’re incredibly proud to have recently collaborated with Furnishing Futures to deliver our first Healing Home.

Furnishing Futures brings together social work values and interior design expertise to create trauma-informed, fully furnished homes for women and children escaping domestic abuse.

Many of these families are placed into empty social housing or are experiencing furniture poverty, making the transition to safety even more challenging.

Starting with an empty apartment, Kibre provided all FF&E, including a bespoke bed and mattress to ensure it fits perfectly, hand picked  dressing items and soft furnishings.

Every detail was considered to transform the space into a calm, welcoming sanctuary, somewhere that truly feels like home.

This project was a powerful reminder that good design isn’t just about how a space looks, but how it makes people feel

We’re grateful to support Furnishing Futures and to use our skills to help create homes that offer comfort, dignity, and a genuine sense of belonging.
