Kibre is an Interior Design and Furnishing Studio based in London and West Sussex. We focus on creating unique aspirational spaces for people to love and enjoy as their homes, work environments and social areas. We are passionate about design and believe wholeheartedly in the difference it makes to our wellbeing.

Our Story

Kibre is a privately owned, design led interior design studio with a strong understanding of property investment.

 

Established in 2012, we have over 12 years of experience in large scale residential design and furnishing and are now one of the UK’s leading interior designers and furniture providers in the Build to Rent (BTR) Sector. We provide our design and furnishing services across multiple sectors including Co-Living, Single Family Housing, Workspace and Hospitality, but Build to Rent is the sector in which we have the most experience.

 

Kibre was appointed on Legal and General’s first BTR development at the Slate Yard in Manchester in 2016, and we have been privileged to work on over 50 large scale developments to date.

 

As specialists in Interior Design, we also design and manufacture bespoke furniture to ensure a completely unique look and feel for each project. Our design, styling and procurement teams are supported by our logistics & project management teams who manage all deliveries, installations and aftercare services in-house, ensuring a seamless journey for our clients from beginning to end.

 

We are enormously passionate about what we do, and we love to see our visions and ideas come together to create unique spaces that add value for our clients and their residents.

Meet the Directors

  • DOMINIC COLEMAN

    Director

    Dominic has 20 years experience working in residential property design, refurbishment and development. He has designed and delivered multi-unit developments, rural conversions and super prime residences for high net worth individuals and celebrities. He trained at Ravensbourne College, one of the UK’s top design colleges, and then went on to work with designers such as Kelly Hoppen and Godrich Design as an interior designer and project manager. Working for Grainger plc as a Development Director provided a unique platform to hone his skills as the client and designer on a huge range of projects. His exposure to, and love of, design provides him with a unique insight into the best of breed suppliers and a design flair to create beautiful spaces. His key focus is on the concept design and delivery of all Kibre projects, ensuring that the client’s aspirations are met.

  • ROBIN HUTTON

    Director

    Robin has significant experience in the residential investment sector having worked for CBRE as a Director of their residential investment team and, prior to that, in the residential investment and asset management team at Grainger plc. He has a strong understanding of the UK residential market and has assisted some of the largest residential landlords in the UK in developing their portfolios, providing strategic investment advice, as well as assisting in the implementation of asset management strategies to maximise portfolio performance. At CBRE, Robin was part of the team that pioneered Build to Rent (BTR) in the UK, before forming KIBRE in 2012 with Dominic where they grew to understand the opportunities in design and furnishing offered by the sector. At Kibre, Robin focuses on the strategic and financial aspects of the business.

WHY THE NAME KIBRE?

KIBRE (pronounced like fibre with a K).

We are passionate about design and love to see our visions and ideas come together to create unique spaces for our clients. We wanted a name synonymous with the passion we both share, but something different and unique. Alongside Design, both of us are passionate about Motorbiking and so we created the name Kibre as an anagram of biker.

    We appointed KIBRE to design and furnish the ground floor reception and communal areas as well as the apartments in our first Build to Rent development at The Slate Yard in Manchester.
